    • Brokerages that remain heavily paper-based and lacking technology required for remote and hybrid working are losing talent to competitors
    • Hybrid and remote work options continue to be a major draw for insurance professionals in 2023
    • One in four professionals consider flexible work arrangements the most important consideration, aside from monetary compensation, when joining a new employer
    • Demand for skilled insurance professionals continues for brokerages across Canada

Vancouver, BC, February 2, 2023 – As the talent shortage for skilled insurance professionals continues, employers are having to adjust to more flexible work arrangements or risk losing out on talent to competitors.

According to a poll conducted by Impact Recruitment, one in four professionals consider flexible work arrangements such as hybrid or remote work options and flexible hours the most important consideration, aside from monetary compensation, when evaluating an employment offer. For some insurance brokerages who have been slow to adapt to technology and digitize their systems, this results in losing out on skilled talent to competitors offering remote and hybrid working options.

Impact, a leading multi-disciplinary recruitment firm, launches the 2023 Salary Guide: Insurance Edition for the Greater Vancouver and GTA markets to highlight current insurance industry hiring trends and provide up-to-date salary data for Canadian insurance professionals.

The continued race for talent in the insurance industry means that candidates can weigh their options before deciding to make a move, while employers, especially those in smaller, remote areas, may struggle to standout in a sea of competitors.
