Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.00pm

Located in Downtown Vancouver, our Client, a leading development company, is looking for a professional and upbeat Receptionist to join their large team. This is a rare and varied role; requiring face-face interaction with clients, along with offering administrative support to different departments within the office and assisting with office management tasks. Client is looking for someone who is professional and dedicated and looking for a position they can stay in long-term. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Greet visitors and clients, face to face and over the phone, maintaining a professional and helpful manner always
  • Monitor who comes in and out of office
  • Answer and screen phones and direct when necessary
  • Handle queries from public and customers
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Schedule meeting rooms and ensure they are tidy and ready for meetings
  • Co-ordinate meetings
  • Assist with occasional event planning and organize catering
  • Ensure reception and kitchen area is tidy at all times
  • Manage kitchen stock and handle orders and deliveries
  • Assist other departments with clerical duties if needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Presentable and polished
  • Strong customer service experience, understands the importance of giving outstanding customer service
  • Strong organization skills and enjoys offering new ideas on how to streamline processes
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at one time; phone ringing, people arriving, answering emails, and prioritizing appropriately
  • High school diploma and minimum of 2 years experience in a similar background, can be work experience or training
  • Tech savvy; can operate electronic devises
  • Knowledge of using a switchboard
