We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to cover a maternity leave with our Downtown Vancouver client; this will be an extended leave contract role. If you are a Human Resources professional with 8+ years of progressive HR experience and experience in the mining sector, send us your resume today. This role will see you working directly with the leadership team; you’ll be the sole HR practitioner and handle all day to day HR functions but you will also work on a high volume of project work.
Our client is in the mining industry, based out of Vancouver we are looking for a Human Resources Manager, ideally with industry experience for a extended maternity leave contract; there is also a possibility of this turning into a permanent opportunity. The Human Resources Manager will be the sole HR practitioner and will handle all day to day HR functions. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their skills and get to work on a variety of projects.
Performance management; provides coaching, mentorship, and direction to leadership.
Training and development.
Full cycle recruitment.
Human resources policy and procedures; improves, updates, implements.
Key contact for employees’ questions and inquiries.
Provides correspondence, company memos and general communications on HR initiatives and announcements.
Assists leadership with the audit process.
Works with external partners; recruitment, immigration lawyers etc …
Possibility this might become a permanent position.

8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
5+ years of experience in a Human Resources Manager role.
Prior experience in mining or public company experience is desired.
Language capabilities: Spanish or Mandarin is an asset.
Strong communication skills: proven ability to work with diverse groups of employees.
Prior experience coaching and guiding senior leadership on employee relations, performance management, labour relations and general employment legislation is desired.
Experience with immigration is an asset but not required.
Prior experience setting up HR policies and procedures is desired.
Annual salary up to $100,000
