The Accounts Payable Specialist will be an integral part of the team, managing the full AP cycle, interacting with vendors, processing purchase orders and invoices, ensuring all vendors are paid in a timely manner. This role reports to the Senior Property Accountant.


  • Full cycle AP
  • Review and process incoming invoices
  • Investigate discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
  • Maintain new and existing vendor information
  • Prepare cheques
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Respond to vendor queries
  • Administer lien holdback process
  • Prepare retention cheques
  • Process daily bank deposits
  • Various duties and projects as assigned



  • Minimum of 3 years of AP experience
  • Previous experience in real estate is an asset
  • Post secondary education in business administration, finance or accounting
  • Previous experience with Yardi is an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships
  • High level of attention to detail and dedication to quality
  • Must be a team player who can also work independently without supervision
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast paced environment


  • $50,000 – $60,000 annual depending on experience
  • 3 weeks’ vacation
