An established and respected developer-builder that has 70+ years of experience in the construction industry is looking to add a Deficiency Technician to their team.

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • As the deficiency technician you will be required to assist the Field Operations Manager with day-to-day activities.
  • Communicate well with the QA/QC Manager, site staff, and trades.
  • To conduct QA/QC walk-throughs and list any deficiencies and then create deficiency lists using Bridgit and/or PlanGrid software.
  • You will be asked to repair warrant-able deficiencies from homeowner service requests (i.e. painting, ceiling, touch ups, filing, sanding, caulking, adjusting doors, drawers or any other items as required) as well as supervise the trades during completion of service work.
  • You will be asked to troubleshoot and install miscellaneous items as required and operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including a service vehicle.
  • This position works out in the field, based on appointment schedules for Homeowners, during regular business hours. It requires frequent visits to multiple sites and the branch office as well.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year experience repairing deficiencies for new developments.
  • Skilled in many areas of carpentry (Finishing, drywall, paint, etc.)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Team player, positive attitude, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid drivers’ license; company service vehicle will be provided

COMPENSATION

  • Salary: $60,000 – $65,000
  • Vacation: 2 weeks  
  • Benefits: Medical & Dental  
  • RRSP: 3%  
  • A van and gas card will be provided
