As the Director of Communications, you’ll lead and oversee both internal and external communications that support Impact Recruitment’s operations, initiatives, projects, and growth through the following:


  • Collaborate with, align, and provide senior leadership and expert advice to the executive team and marketing teams (of both Impact and AMBImi brands) with regards to key messaging between internal communications and external communications (media relations, public relations (PR), investor relations (IR)
  • Identify strategic platforms and opportunities to engage with external partners that would position Impact Recruitment as a technology-forward recruitment industry leader
  • Spearhead the development and execution of Impact Recruitment’s communication and PR strategy across multiple channels that aligns with the company’s mission, vision and values; and evaluate and measure the successes of these initiatives
  • Conduct research, monitor trends, develop insights into what’s happening in the world recruitment and technology and develop thought leadership content, articles, press releases etc. that will drive further engagement and success for the company
  • Lead and oversee the Communications department, including direct management of the Manager of Communications and work with the executive team to communicate important company highlights and updates to foster and maintain employee engagement.

Various career paths/experiences could have prepared you for this type of position, but ideally, we are looking for self motivated and business minded individuals with:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in communications and/or public relations experience from a marketing or PR agency or related field
  • Creative writing experience
  • Experience working for or with PR agencies
  • Management/leadership experience
  • University degree from an accredited university in communications, public relations, journalism, literature, or similar field
  • Experience with investor relations (IR) is a very strong asset but not required
