ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Impact Recruitment have partnered with a national law firm with offices in Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto. They specialize in a range of areas such as tax, business, litigation, family, tax, and estates & trust law.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the firms 3 offices and serve as trusted strategic partner and advisor regarding key management and organizational issues, whilst also managing and executing day-to-day HR operations.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the COO the main responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing Paralegals, LAAs, and other staff with support from the COO and Managing Partners
- Monitor workflow/support arrangements and work distribution for staff
- Plan and direct all HR services, programs, policies, and best practices to support the firms strategic goals
- Supervise staff and conduct performance reviews
- Develop learning and development plans based on identifies performance concerns.
- Act as the first point of contact for team members on all matters relating to HR
- Manage and maintain the HR budget
- Review and negotiate related contracts and agreements
- Have oversight in matters relating to administration and facilities as directed by the COO
THE REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years progressive experience in HR
- Experience in a law firm or professional services is strongly preferred
- Diploma/Certificate from a recognized HR program
- CPHR designation preferred or in progress
- Flexible attitude
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent communication skills
COMPENSATION
- $70,000 – $90,000 based on experience.
