For this position they’re looking for someone with a mature nature as the successful candidate will be overseeing an entire building downtown.
This company is involved in developing a wide range of properties across Canada: from rental apartments, condo’s and office buildings to industrial sites and retirement home complexes. Daily duties will include walk throughs of this 12-floor tower and the grounds. You will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests from tenants throughout the building. Good customer service skills will be required in this role as you will be responding to resident concerns and requests in a professional manner. Repairs will include minor electrical (light bulbs, electrical outlets etc), plumbing: faucet repairs and piping issues, unplugging drains, minor hardware adjustments, drywall issues including plaster work and painting in addition to general repairs such as floor grouting. You will also be responsible for conducting daily inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment as well as preparing vacant and available suites – making sure any maintenance issues are addressed. You will be working alongside the administration/office team however much of the maintenance in this position will be performed independently.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
– Salary of $50,000 – $52,000

– 2+ years of Residential maintenance experience across plumbing, carpentry and electrical. General knowledge of building systems and repairs.
-Strong communication (customer service) and written skills
– Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act / Fire Core / Safety
– Basic computer skills
– Mature personality and ability to oversee an entire building.
