ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client, a subcontractor with 40+ years experience in the market specializing in tiling from high end single family residential homes to multi-family residential and commercial projects. Working with some of Vancouver’s largest developers and general contractors expect to work on projects for the likes of Ellis Don, PCL & Ledcor with projects varying between $1m- $15m.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

If you are a Project Coordinator from a developer or sub-contractor from variety of industries, this could be a great fit. As part of a well established team, you will contribute to the company's growing portfolio of projects by applying your estimation and project coordination expertise. This role is better suited for someone who is an experienced project coordinator and not looking to move into project management position for at least a few years.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Project Coordinator, you will be working closely with the Project Managers and on field staff while reporting to the Operations Manager. Strong construction knowledge or the required education necessary to learn on the go is essential.  

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performs administrative and recordkeeping including: meeting minutes, the tracking of project milestones and the maintenance of files, logs, drawings and specifications.
• Asist the tracking and reporting of project milestones and financial deadlines.
• Aid the Controller with the entry of AP and AR documentation.
• Prepare purchase orders for approval and help with procurement
• Communicate project status to all stakeholders.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5+ years experience as project coordinator
• Construction, estimation or project management related education
• Strong Excel, Word and computer skills

COMPENSATION

• $65,000-85,000 per annum
• 2-3 weeks vacation
• Extended medical and dental coverage
• Training Reimbursement
• Profit sharing based on company and individual performance
• Hybrid-model of working after a few months
