A family-led Developer, located in the centre of Downtown Vancouver, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee their growing list of mixed-use residential and commercial developments.

This is a great time to join the Developer as they plan to continue expanding with a strong pipeline of townhome projects already in place. Experience working with, and managing, general contractors will be an asset. Plans are in place to develop mid and high-rise projects longer term.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for managing multiple projects from design to close-out. You will work closely with the team in the office and the contractors on projects, meaning strong communication skills are a must.

As you will be working with, and overseeing, contractors, experience working for a developer-builder would be ideal. It will be your responsibility to ensure projects and contractors are on schedule, budget and meeting all industry standards.

Where you identify potential issues, you will be expected to work with senior management to recommend solutions and make updates where required – for example to the budget or schedule. You will review all change order requests and ensure relevant consultants have provided their thoughts before recommending approval.

Document management is an important part of this role including project budgets, schedules, reports, change orders, and close-out documentation.


 – Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Project Manager on projects within the Lower Mainland.

 – Experience with wood-frame and concrete.

 – Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

 – Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

 – Strong Microsoft Office skills including MS Project.

 – Construction Management or Engineering Degree.

 – LEED Certification an asset.

Compensation & Benefits:

 – Annual Salary: $110,000 to $130,000

 – Vacation: 4 weeks

 – Benefits: Extended Benefits (Premium paid for by company)
