We are hiring a professional Receptionist & Administrative Assistant for our law firm client in downtown Vancouver.

Our client is a downtown Vancouver law firm with over 100 years of collective service in some of the most interesting and niche areas of the legal industry. As the Receptionist and Administrative Assistant, you will be interacting with all levels of the firm. They are consistently growing and there is plenty of opportunity to expand your skills and experiences with this team.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Receptionist and Administrative Assistant is responsible fore greeting guests, answering phones and supporting office functions such as ensuring all office equipment is working, assisting with troubleshooting if it’s not. You will assist with updating social media, and general communications. Managing expenses and various user plans and ensuring the office is always stocked and presented professionally.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Reception responsibilities include greeting guests, answering, and directing calls accordingly and ensuring messages are communicated effectively and efficiently.
Coordinated and manages boardroom bookings.
Ensures boardrooms are set up with audio and visual, meeting materials and catering as required.
Supports various vendor plans; employee phone plans, expenses, and troubleshoots minor IT instances when required.
Orders office supplies and ensures copy rooms, kitchen, meeting rooms are fully stocked.
Assists with social media and general communication.
Coordinates employee engagement events.
Manages couriers and mail.
Data entry and general database maintenance.
Filing – this includes lifting up to 20lbs.
THE REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of experience in a professional office environment.
2+ years of experience in a Reception or Administration role.
Post secondary degree or diploma is preferred.
Experience or education in the legal field is an asset.
Strong communication skills.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Must be able to manage confidential information.
Professional phone manner.
Able to troubleshoot basic IT needs.
Must be able to move legal file boxes weighing up to 20lbs.
Excellent organization skills and must be able to meet deadlines.
Self-starter, able to prioritize and identify immediate needs.
COMPENSATION
Annual salary up to $55,000, depending on experience. Competitive benefits package including extra perks such as employee retreats. Competitive vacation and RSP matching.
