• 30+ units of market housing
• Demolition starting in May/June 2023.
• 22 month schedule

Company Details

Family owned group of businesses that has been around since the 80's. This division focuses on General contracting projects and in the future will build for the development arm of the business. Projects vary from residential multi-family to commercial and special projects. The group of companies has over 300 employees throughout the businesses and they are in growth mode. The GC arm has a flat organizational structure and prides themselves on hiring strong candidates who have high internal accountability.

Job Description

• Master the trade coordination; including manage schedules, avoiding overlaps and site conflicts
• Push the schedule and deliver the project on time by foreseeing and dealing any concerns
• Monitor the project budget to prevent any cost overruns
• Master the drawings to rectify construction challenges before they arise
• Deal with challenging workforce issues that arise due to the small labour pool
• Anticipate and minimize any issue that arise due to the cold Winter
• Treat safety as a priority
• A key task will be balancing the needs of schedule, budget and safety

What you Bring

• 5+ years experience in construction, focused in wood-frame construction
• Minimum 1 start-to-finish townhome delivered as a Superintendent
• Strong understanding of blueprints, fire separation and able to proactively find constructability challenges & design issues
• Comfortable with commute to South Vancouver
• Strong written skills and an honest (no BS) communicator
• Tech Savvy – Procore, Timberline, MS Project, Salus are all an Asset
• A strong history of tenure.
• Asset – Red Seal or hands-on trades experience.

What you Get

• Salary of $120,000 – $140,000
• Vehicle & phone allowance
