We are hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist on behalf of our client, a Crown corporation based in Vancouver. This is a full cycle recruitment position. Hybrid work model, 3 days in office; government benefits and generous vacation. Diploma or certificate in HR Management is required.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a Crown corporation that is looking to add a talented Recruiter to their team. The Talent Acquisition role will be based out of the South Vancouver office 3 days a week, and you’ll be able to work from home the other 2.

 

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work on a high volume of requisitions and lead the recruitment and selection process. Partnering with leadership and managers, you will focus on finding talented individuals for a variety of internal unionized opportunities.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Full cycle recruitment.
Partnering with leadership and managers to facilitate the recruitment and selection process.
Consults and ensures talent acquisition processes are compliant with collective agreements.
Supports partnership relationships with education institutions.
Utilizing social media and headhunting techniques for proactive sourcing.
Completing reference checks, employment offers and additional onboarding administrative tasks.  

 

THE REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in HR Management and 2 years of related experience or
Certificate in HR Management and 3 years of related experience is required.
Experience recruiting in a unionized environment is required.
Proven ability to interpret and work with collective agreements.
Strong knowledge of Employment Standards.
Proven ability to proactively source and create a strong talent pipeline.
Must be able to meet deadlines.
Please note, this is a role with a crown corporation. There will be extensive background checks, reference checks and education verification for the successful candidate. Post secondary education requirements listed above are required and not negotiable.

COMPENSATION
Annual salary $65,000. Hybrid work model. Public Service Pension plan. Generous vacation; work life balance. Competitive benefits plan including health and wellness incentive program and ongoing professional development.
