One of the Fraser Valley’s most respected law firms is looking for an intermediate wills & estates lawyer to join their team.

We have partnered with a longstanding full-service law firm based in Abbotsford that has been serving the Fraser Valley community for almost 50 years. The firm boasts a collegial and open culture with lots of encouragement toward work/life balance and a lower billable hour target than you’d find in a downtown law firm. There is flexibility to work remotely post Covid-19 and opportunities for mentorship and growth toward partnership.  

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity is suitable for a lawyer with a suitable level of wills & estates experience due to a busy practice and overall growth of the firm. Depending on interest and experience this lawyer will have the opportunity to branch out into other practice areas, and this is in fact encouraged. Within this role, you will get to work on high complexity files and benefit from the firm’s great marketing resources. The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills, solid advocacy skills, and outstanding analytical, research, communication, and interpersonal skills. Advancement toward partnership is available for the right candidate.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Called to the BC Bar and be in good standing
• Have approximately 5 years of experience with Wills & Estates Law
• Open to a 1500 billable target with additional 250 non-billing target for business development activities
• Have strong interpersonal skills
