Impact Recruitment Inc., an Aplin brand (collectively referred to as “Impact”), values the privacy of our candidates, clients, and related individuals. We will ensure that all personal information is protected throughout each area of our business. Impact collects, processes, and discloses personal information to facilitate job placements. In all cases, we adhere to strict guidelines as specified by the Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) to protect your information.

What Information Does Impact Collect?
Impact requests that our candidates provide us with specific information necessary to assess a candidate’s qualifications and offer the best placement options. The information collected includes, but may not be limited to, the following:
Personal Contact Information
Employer Contact Information
Resume and Cover Letter/Description of Desired Type of Work
Records or Transcripts from Educational Institutions
Interview Notes and Information Collected from Existing or Past Employers through Reference Checks
Skills Testing Results/Potential Employer Administered Test Results
Payroll Information/Tax Deduction Information and/or Banking Details for Contract Employees
Why is this Information Collected?
Impact requests information from our candidates and related individuals to ensure the best possible fit between our candidates and our clients (potential employers) regarding the position under consideration. We will never collect more information than is necessary to fill a particular role or make an appropriate placement. Any requirement for additional information by the employer will be disseminated by Impact only after receiving specific consent from the candidate, and such information must be directly related to the position.
When does Impact share the Information?
The personal information you provide will never be sold, traded, or leased to any external companies by Impact. Impact requests that you rely upon us to exercise care and consideration when sharing your information, and accordingly, we will limit disclosure to a ‘as required’ basis to assist you with your job search. We will only share your information with clients when a direct potential exists for a job placement. In all cases, Impact will not disclose your contact information to the potential employer unless you have consented and after thorough discussion of the position. In most cases, Impact will discuss career opportunities with you in full before disclosing any information to the employer (including a resume or CV). The collection, use, or disclosure is permitted without consent under applicable privacy legislation.
Impact may share your personal information with corporate affiliates, third parties, systems, or databases contracted or utilized to assist in providing our services directly. We require all third parties, systems, or databases that may access this information to comply strictly with any relevant privacy legislation. Impact may also disclose personal information to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as required by law, and disclose and use such information as appropriate to:
Comply with applicable laws and lawful requests processes, such as court orders or requests from government authorities;
Protect, investigate and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity.
Where is the Information Stored, and How Long is it retained?
We use an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to store and manage your personal information. Our ATS implements industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Personal information may be stored within North America and may be transferred and stored in other jurisdictions in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
